Applied for my CCW at Erie County Sheriff's Dept. The woman there greeted me nicely, took my paperwork, hand prints and photos. She said it would take two weeks because they mail letters to the courts in the county to check if there is any impending litigation.
It actually took ten days. The department called me and when I picked it up they asked me to confirm all the info was correct on the permit and that I was good to go. All and all a great job. Courteous and painless.
I do believe he is saying that they took prints off both hands (fingers). I heard one deputy say that when I was over getting prints taken off fingers of both hands.
Been a long time since I had my baby prints taken. Might be a new thingie in the applications.

I thought I gave middle finger prints, too...maybe not. I've been finger printed so many times for so many things over the past couple years, it's hard to keep track.
