Depends on how it is worded whether it's a good idea or not.

I concur^^

Most likely started out as a good thing and...blossomed from there. Like a lot of govt stuff

Can't have a reporting officer 2nd guessing everything , neither should they have no accountability whatsoever

Ppl need to go through some of the training such as, use of force, UofF reporting requirements etc. It's really already articulated as no cart blanche when you roll up in the cruiser. Oops SUVs are the rage now haha so they can be filled up with more junk er, equip lol
Acquisitions thus far:

-Slingshot
-Butter knife
-Soda straw and peas
-Sharpened pencil
-Newspaper roll
--water balloon (*diversionary*)

Yeah, I'm that good

This right here is the issue. Balance is key... as others have said, can't have officers stop policing out of fear of being sued for everything but also can't have absolute immunity with no accountability either.

approx 3:50 of the video link a SUSPICIOUS WORD was heard....AMENDMENT.

Verified, here...

So, I am like, well, 2,000,000% against it. Ohio has already had boocoo amendments, were new superseding laws SHOULD have been established.

Ohio Constitution allows both petition for redress via a new law , and, allowing amendment of the Constitution. Until the petition for a new law is conducted I view any & all amendment attempts as frivolous overreach.

That procedure e.g. petition for a new law goes something like , a person or group proposes a bill. Usually some issue where the OGA has been hesitant to act. That proposed bill is submitted to (?) I don't remember. Then, representatives for the legislature meets with the group and offers compromise. Group says, no, you're trying to weasel-ease out of the idea you didn't like in the 1st place (otherwise OGA would have acted), places the proposed bill on the ballot, to become law.
