Ohio's "Back to School" sales tax holiday week!

Hey, I can find positive things to talk about regarding the Buckeye state, with some effort!
What used to be a weekend worth of not paying sales tax on a shortish list of "school supplies", has morphed into a nine day affair that includes almost everything that we pay sales tax on the rest of the year**. And it's now on purchase totals up to $500 each.
** Not included under the tax exemption are items such as alcohol, tobacco, and now
marijuana. But, firearms and accessories are okay. I can almost sense liberals' heads bursting into flames about that.
Yeah, I bought a gun today, if you couldn't guess. Low miles used Sig P320 XC.

Heading to AIMSurplus this weekend to pick up my tax-free AR10 receiver!

Nice. I need to look around the AIM website. My purchase today was at the 22/Three gun store and range near Lebanon. Buying a gun there comes with 30 minutes of range time.

Ended up canceling the Aero AR10 lower and buying a used FDE Aero AR10 complete rifle for $699 while waiting for my order to be picked. The upper and bolt goes for more than that lol. AIMSurplus has the purchase process down to a science. Tons of customers there to buy, still got out in 30 minutes (CHL, no call in). This is why I drive the 1.5 hours vs Vance’s (that and there is a Jack in the Box 11 minutes away lol). Always get delayed at Vance’s, so 2 trips.

Thanks for this post, I didn't know that, am now going to go shopping later. I personally know a extremely anti gun liberal, I could casually let her know the bolded, that I bought a gun or ammo or both tax free and see what happens? Should I or just let her continue with her ignorance?

Oh, I'd for sure tell her.
A couple people I told were somewhat taken aback, but they tried to hide it.

I don't normally initiate a conversation with her, but she will usually initiate one with me, usually to brag about something from the far left side or tell me about something Trump said that she thinks was bad
so I'll use that occasion to say, "Oh, by the way, did you know Ohio's sales tax holiday includes guns and ammo?"
