The deputy is okay. As far as anyone in the car, since they drove off, it's not known yet if anyone was hit or not.
There was a police presence at the Steelyard Commons Walmart the night before Christmas Eve, just less than an hour after the store closed at 10 p.m.

According to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department, an off-duty officer fired shots at a car that drove off. There are no known injuries.

News 5 had a crew on the scene who said they saw a shell casing on the ground in the parking lot.
