According to his writings detailed in the police investigation of the Louisville Ky bank shooting. He was a ardent anti gunner, hated the NRA and rich white people, and politicians who listen to the NRA. Here is just one example of many of his statements.
Allegedly from Instagram: "Thx (thanks) NRA" "This is what happens when those in power stop listening to the rest of us. They won't listen to words or protests, so lets see if they hear this.
He also allegedly talks about how easy it is for a crazy person like himself to just pay $700 to buy an AR, ammo, red dot, etc.
A couple of observations. One, it's ironic he had such a beef with the NRA, as the NRA seems to be just a symbol for the pro gun side in legislation or the courts. The reality is that now, other organizations are far more effective than the NRA. The NRA however continues to be the boogyman for the anti gun left.
The other is if he hated the NRA or people on the pro gun side so much, and wanted the publicity, why target a "no guns for innocent people" zone?
Why didn't he buy the gun earlier in the year and drive a little bit up north to do it at the NRA convention? Or a local gun store, or a gun show, or a shooting range?
Unlike when "The view" spent air time disparaging Eli Dicken for stopping a mass shooter at the Indy mall, I doubt the release of this police report is going to be discussed on that show, despite the fact that the political views he expressed in his writings mirror their opinions as well.
