We had a few friends and their sons used to make weekly trips to "the big pond" as we called it. We used charts and compasses for navigation. Then the Lorain C grew in popularity. Now it is the GPS.
One of my best friends and myself took a 5 day Erie navigation course in the 80's and needed a detailed and approved charts. My friend died 10 or so years ago.
We sold our boat and other than occasionally farm ponds we haven't fished again.
I will never again use this chart however it is still VERY helpful on "the big pond" if the GPS takes a dump!
This chart has only a few marks and some light staining but no smell of cigarette smoke.
