John Kasich failed to convince the Republican-controlled General Assembly to pass several gun-control measures during his last year in office. But the blame shouldn’t be on him, the outgoing Republican governor said Friday.

“The difficulty is that the groups that support gun control are very divided in terms of what their top priorities are, and so they’re not unified like gun-control opponents who speak with one voice, clearly, all the time,” Kasich told reporters and editors of cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer during a conference call.

Kasich can see the gun right groups are divided so he can push his own agenda without fearing strong lobbying. We know other groups aren't working with us but they won't turn around and join us due to their stubbornness.
