Gunsmith NE Ohio to polish shotgun chambers

Post by Morne »

I thought about trying my hand at it but have decided to get an expert. Anybody know a good gunsmith in NE Ohio who can polish the chambers of a sxs shotgun?

Talk to the local Cowboy Action crowd. One of them does that work or "knows a guy".

I am not sure if they do what you are looking to get done, but I've only heard the best things regarding them.

I chucked a 12-ga mop in my hand drill, coated it with tooth paste and bored myself silly running the toothpaste mop in and out of the chambers of my Cowboy Action double gun.
Cleaned it well afterward.
Slick as a gut.

Thanks for that, Sky Pilot. I did the same thing with a coach gun years ago. Didn't tell Morne because he might have asked me to do it for him.

Honestly, it's pretty easy, just take your time and check for progress along the way with whatever shells you favor.
