A buddy of mine called me up to take a look at a Air Rifle he inherited years ago. Its a Walther LG 55 made approx 1960. I have been searching the internet but there is no info on dissasembly. Parts are no longer available (besides seals and springs) so I am alittle worried about tearing into it without some guidance. Anyone know anything about these rifles?

Beautiful airgun..

I would give the folks over at Pyramyd Air a call. they would probably be able to direct you to parts, diagrams, etc. if anyone could..

Best of luck in your search.

Your Google fu must not be very good.
First search for "Walther model 55 air rifle" (Google actually suggested it before I got it completely typed) produced this:

My Google fu is fine :D
None of those links give a detailed description of how to dissasemble. From what I have gathered there is apart that is very difficult to install. Itsa stamped sheet metal part and if not done correctly will break and there are no replacement parts available for this model.

Just out of curiosity, which numbered part is it?(http://www.network54.com/Forum/405945/t ... r+Model+55" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

I would guess a stamped sheet metal part could be duplicated by a 7th grade shop student. Of course it wouldn't be original anymore.
