The wife and I headed to London today to turn in our applications. A few of the terms I can come up with from our experience:

Will follow up to see how long it takes (they estimated two weeks but said it's often faster).

Got the call a few minutes ago that we can stop by as early as tomorrow to pick up our licenses.

Eight days. Not bad at all.

Got my call this morning to pick up my ccw license. Very professional group of deputys. It took 12 working days from the time I submitted the application.
