I'm looking into an aliengear cloak tuck 2.0 to carry my xd9 because it will be getting warm soon and lack of a jacket will force me to put my current holster away for the time being. I've read a bunch of good and bad reviews but usually reviews come when people have the product for a week and the "honeymoon phase" is still taking its toll. Does anyone have this holster and have been using it a while to actually give a good honest opinion on it? Any other products I should check out? Also, my girlfriend has an xd9sc and is looking at the sticky holster because she wears yoga pants and leggings a lot both for work and just around. Any opinions on those?

I would recommend looking at Crossbreed. Their Supertuck line are great holsters - more comfortable in my opinion than the Alien Gear and Old Faithful holsters because the leather backing is a tad thicker and stiffer. I've been carrying in my Crossbreed for better than two years now and really like it, and will probably get another when the time comes.

Here's 2 pennies from me. I own alien gear, crossbreed super tucks and minitours. My everyday carry is the alien gear. The leather's thicker, the kydex is thicker and is just generally more heavy duty than either of the others.
That said, I don't have the 2.0. I'm looking forward to hearing about how it feels against the skin. Summer's coming and leather's kind of tough on the skin.

Interesting - I'll agree the kydex on the Alien Gear is thicker than on the Crossbreed, but the leather sure wasn't - or if it was, it was still more pliable. And had to be as the leather backing was part of the retention, it has to bow outward when the gun is holstered. Unless they've changed things from a year ago or so, that is.

The new Cloak Tuck 2.0 uses a neoprene layer next to your skin. Here's a youtube review:

I've been using a 2.0 for about 6 months now with two different pistols...a Beretta px4 compact and a G19.
First off, the neoprene is incredibly comfortable. Very soft and breathable, but I obviously haven't worn it through the summer yet. I also own a Supertuck, which is fantastic, but the 2.0 is more comfortable. If one was going to show wear quicker I would think the AG would just because leather is tougher, but I haven't noticed any yet.
I carried the px4 when I first bought it and it is a thicker, chunkier gun with with lots of bumps on the slide, slide stop and safety. It disappears in either rig just fine but I find myself using the AG 2.0 because of the neoprene. The Glock carries better, obviously, because it's lighter and "flatter." Either gun disappears in either holster just fine, but again, that neoprene is so damn cozy. Not to mention that when I bought my Glock the new shell cost me an additional $12, not an entirely new holster.
And as an ancillary point....the tolerances on my G19 shell were off and didn't fit properly onto the neoprene backing. One email to AG with no begging, pleading or fighting and I received a phone call apologizing and a new shell on the way. I've spoken to their customer service several times and they go above and beyond in terms of communication.
Suffice to say I'm well pleased with my 2.0 and will buy another if I ever need to. With that said, most people are very fond of their holsters so we're all a bit biased.

Another thing to consider with Alien Gear holsters is that if you have aftermarket sights that are taller than factory, you may have issues with the front sight rubbing the inside of the kydex since many of their shells do not (or at least, did not) have an enlarged sight channel. That wasn't a problem for me, but I have seen the issue reported in other forums.

Well, it was during peak season for a product with high demand......
I have a AG 2.0 myself. I personally find it very comfortable. I do not like a leather IWB holster myself.

Are you talking about suppressor sized sights? I have Trijicon HD's on my Glock and they aren't an issue either.

I do not recall the specific sights but they were standard night sights (albeit taller than factory), not suppressor sized. One of the guns in question was an XDs, which is why I noticed it (I carry an XDs). As I understand it, not all sights, and not all of their kydex shells, have this issue, but some models do. Simply something to know about and keep in mind.

I've got an xds, and haven't had a problem with the AG holster for it. My G26 fits in it just fine too. As a matter of fact, the xds fits well in the Glock holsters I've got.

If you haven't changed the factory sights, that's expected - their holsters fit the factory configuration just fine. And fit many if not most aftermarket sights. But some taller aftermarket sights have been a problem.

A few measurements...CBST horsehide, ~.120, cowhide ~.150, AG cloaktuck ~.185
OWB CB cowhide ~.180, AG ~.185
I used the Supertucks and Minitours for ten years or so. Bought the Cloaktuck a year ago, just to check 'em out. I feel they're a good value. Got the OWB last summer to try to alleviate some of the summer chafe of construction work. That's why I'm interested in the neopene.

Yeah, I see what you mean, but I don't see the need to sight up a carry gun like that. It's not like anybody's gonna shoot bulls eye with an xds.
