I do this to maintain the long-standing history of discussions here indexed in Google, and so that people have a place to discuss this topic outside of modern social media censorship. While I don't participate (don't have the gear) these matches are fun to watch.

The Salem Hunting Club has a couple matches left this year if you're inclined to shoot or just watch.

9:00 am - Sign up
10am - Safety Meeting then on to the range.
$15.00 including lunch
$10.00 w/out lunch
$5 lunch only

Guests/Public welcome but must wear eye/protection.

Cowboy Action is the most fun you can have with your clothes on!
I was in a gunshop looking at a 97 and some fellow buying a tricked out 870 snidely referred to cowboy shooters as "fudds."
There's no sense arguing with a fool, they just pull you down to their level and beat you with experience, so I just smiled.
Still have the 97.
