For those who are interested, Fulton County Sportsmen Club is having a Steel Challenge match this Sunday at 10:00. Shot one there a few months ago and had a great time. Not as exciting as IDPA for me, but still lots of fun trigger time. Should be 5 stages setup. For those not familiar with Steel Challenge, there are 8 stages total and I have no idea which ones we'll be shooting on Sunday. Five steel plates of various sizes (10" round plates to 18"x24" square plates) and various distances. At a start buzzer you'll either bring the gun up from low ready (.22LR) or draw from a holster and shoot each plate once. One plate is marked red and is the stop plate and must be shot last. Shoot each stage 5 times with your worst score thrown out. Gotta love a sport with a built in Mulligan! 125rd minimum but bring extra 'cause we've all been known to miss a shot now and then. Wheel gunners can feel at home and even have an extra shot there if necessary.

Re: One more day in the sun
That sounds like an awesome event.
I'll be thinking about it while I'm at work...
