Title edited for clarity - Jake
Has anyone heard o Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Nevada offering training for permits in 30 States. From the way have read it i looks to me like their training is accepted by 30 states and not that you get your permits for 30 states. Does anyone know about this.

They may be referring to obtaining a FL license after you complete your training; that is accepted in approximately 30 states. It is not a bad idea to get a FL license, but there are advantages to also getting an Ohio license, including reciprocity with Michigan.

Here's how they do it....
"After completing Front Sight`s Concealed Weapon Permit course you will be prepared to apply for and receive the Florida, Nevada, and Utah Concealed Weapon Permits, thus allowing you to legally carry a concealed handgun in the following 30 states--even if you do not reside in these states!"
They are essentially teaching a course that is modified to cover those states. Well, guess what, for $125 I will give you training that allows you to carry in 37 states. So for $375 less I'll give you 7 more states.

A couple years ago I was offered a "free" class at Front Sight. After filling out information on-line I decided I really wasn't interested. I made the mistake of giving my cell phone number. I get at least a call a week (prerecorded message)from these guys wanting me to take one of their classes. I recently blocked their number from my cell phone.

Thanks to everyone for the info it is just what I was thinking. Reading what they have on their site makes it sound like you take the course and get the permits but it did not seem right to me being Ohio was listed. Thanks again.
