An idea that came from a recent meeting...

My wife and I currently operate a small web hosting/web design company, and I was recently in a meeting with a potential customer. In the course of our meeting, I mentioned the fact that I'm researching the idea of actually having a regular office - rather than operating out of the office in my home.
Anyway, shortly after this, his face became rather serious looking, and he said, "If you open this office up - will you be posting this as a no-ccw business?" I simply sat back in the restaurant and said, "You have got to be joking - right? Why would I do that?" He then pulls out and shows me his CHL, and told me he has concerns about CPZ's. I, in turn, did the same, and told him so do I (and I was thinking I just blew the meeting when this topic came up

).
Anyway, I thought about that a little more... Does anyone know if there are any type of CCW-Friendly signs out there? I know it's not required by law (nor would I want it to be), but it'd be nice to occasionally see something other than a gun-buster sign. It's just a thought...

I thought I had checked earlier, so just checked again - I saw a OhioCCW sticker, and an OhioCCW bumper sticker... But nothing along the lines of CCW's Welcome, or CCW-friendly business, or No Gun-Grabbers allowed... Am I looking in the wrong area?

There is no provision in MI law in regards to posting a premises off limits to concealed carry. If a private property owner choses to post, the worst case, if you are found in possession of a firearm, you can be asked to leave. If you refuse, you may only be charged with simple trespass.
Even though that's the case and it's unneeded, our business has had a "concealed weapons permits holders welcome" sign in the front window since the day "shall issue went into effect. And yes, we are listed on the "safe alternatives" list.

You're a good man Brad. I'll be calling you for some parts as soon as the thermo-couple on my water heater goes out

How about a sign with a handgun and an obvious GREEN circle around followed by the following statement: "Legally carried concealed handguns welcome" or something along that lines.

Bob, go to the OFCC website. Go down to the "Do Not Patronize While Armed database", it's printed in
blue. Now click on "Print a Safe Alternative Thank You Sign". There you go!!!! Good luck with your business!

Linda - Thanks! I think I found the one. Says "We welcome Ohio CHL Holders"... That works very well.
Yeah, I thought of making one myself - but I figured it'd look too much like the Gunbuster sign - except with someone looking vaguely like a silhouette of Ms. Hoover trying to grab the pistol from it. Thanks again...
Edited to fix formatting. - Cable

Hijack - Brad, whatever became of your recalcitrant supplier?
