And I'll bet that the grip safety on the XD is partially responsible for those issues. I was critical of grip safeties in another recent thread and I maintain that position. I don't like them...just more moving parts, more complexity...more probability for failure.

And for the XD/XDm, the design flaw that requires the grip safety to be depressed to cycle the slide also makes it a non-starter for me.
