And this was done without the use of "deadly" force! Just the simple displaying of the handgun got the job done.

I really like the quote from the Police Sgt:

"We commend him," Higgins said. "But we don't encourage people to take that kind of risk. He could have been hurt."

Hurt by what? Maybe by overzelous LEO's given that he is standing there holding the BG at gunpoint since they don't know who is who at that point.

Yes, I do believe in open carry. An openly armed man is clear in his intentions. Concealed carriers are sneaks and skulkers and elitist, boot licking, political contribution making, running dog lackies of The Man. <wink> (thx grumpycoconut - OpenCarry.org)
