The forums have been hosted for some time now out of my pocket. We are coming up on the annual domain renewal for ohioccwforums.org and I pay roughly $20/month to keep the forums online. I do this to maintain the long-standing history of discussions here indexed in Google, and so that people have a place to discuss this topic outside of modern social media censorship. If anyone cares to join, I'll be at IHOP at Taylor Rd /Rt 256/I(the letter i)70 about 6am Thursday.. who am I kidding, I will be there regardless.
Your talking about this one?? IHOP, 2413 Taylor Square Dr, Reynoldsburg, OH. I probably won't make it depending on the ride from Cincy, looks like an extra 20 minutes each way.
That's the one. I totally get that it's out of the way for anyone not coming from the east. I won't let that keep me from a short stack.
There's always a next time.. like lunch, downtown.

I will have to pass. The statehouse is a short drive up I-71 from Frank Road for me, so I will probably eat some breakfast at home before heading out. (Though one of the breakfast specials at the Capitol Cafe is Biscuits and Gravy that morning!)

Just a reminder for everyone - you can lock your firearms in your vehicle in the garage under the Statehouse. That is going to be the best place to park in terms of distance and staying out of the cold weather.

For those from Cincy area i am going to grab breakfast at the Waffle House at I-71 and 741 (Kings Mills exit). I'll arrive there sometime between 5:30 - 6:00 AM. If we're on the way by 6:15 or so we should be in Columbus in plenty of time unless traffic is really bad.

Thanks, Mark - I'll just eat at home/ on the road, but that timing advice is appreciated.
I plan to park in the garage, too.
Does the statehouse have rules about pointy things? I normally carry a Boy Sprout style pocketknife and a separate folder.

There was no security screening point the last time I was there (last year).

They will look in your bag, but not pat you down, as of my last visit a month or so ago

In past visits to the statehouse I've always used street parking. However, those occasions always seemed to be when the weather was a little more friendly than right now. The underground garage sounds pretty good at this point.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!
