Glock 43 Thoughts?

It's everything the glock 42 should have been! I think it's a bit pricey at $600 MSRP, I got my XDS at a steal when it was on sale for $450 for a bitone 9mm 4.0 with the gear up promo I wound up with 5 mags for that price. When you can get a shield for less than $400 all day long I wouldn't even look at a G43. The XDs is worth the extra loot because of the grip safety, I don't see any reason to spend $600 on a glock when I can get a shield for $200 less.

Not that I disagree with your general point, but the XD grip safety is largely irrelevant (Yes, the XD striker is fully cocked vs Glock's half cock...I'm talking about real world usage.) Sort of like the magazine safety on a Browning High Power.

I am only very moderately concerned about a ND when re-holstering I like being able to engage the grip safety when holstering the pistol for a little extra safety, I know it's not a substitute for good handling practices but, it makes me feel better.

If it makes you feel more confident in the gun (whatever "it" is, in this case the grip safety), then it is worth the extra money. We should all know, test and feel fully confidant in our equipment.
