The forums have been hosted for some time now out of my pocket. We are coming up on the annual domain renewal for ohioccwforums.org and I pay roughly $20/month to keep the forums online. I do this to maintain the long-standing history of discussions here indexed in Google, and so that people have a place to discuss this topic outside of modern social media censorship. If you enjoy the forums and you'd like to help offset the cost, please consider a venmo donation here
Want to talk about IDPA, IPSC, or other competition events you are involved in
or are interested in participating in? Want to know if anyone is going to a local gun show? Wondering when the next OFCC event is? All that and more is in this section!
Just as we did last time, there will be at least one stage that will require a higher than normal round count.
I suppose if we keep doing this, it will become the norm, huh? Please bring sufficient amount mags/ammo.
Also, I'm thinking we'll be doing another "Force on Force" stage. This will entail using an Airsoft pistol. If anyone gets shot with it, it'll be me (for now).
We, at some point (not this week) will be introducing a second Airsoft pistol. When that time comes, I'll prepare you in advance as you'll need to bring a protective cover (sweatshirt/jacket). I'll get an additional mask. I've found that if struck just right. the pellets can break skin. We want to reduce as much risk as possible to avert personal injury.
Weather forecast looks great, hope to see you Thursday!

So...I had a chance to shoot steel plates at an IDPA match this past Sunday.
I went with two regular shooters from our CC. Shoot.
The Steel stage looked very familiar.
It was just like one of our paper plate stages.
Dave H. commented how much bigger the steel plates were.
I told him, he should have felt like he was shooting at trash can lids compared to our 9" and 4" plates.

Initial weather forecast is cooler and windy for this Thursday's shoot.
I'm considering changing things up a little bit due to the wind.
This translates to suggesting that you bring a little extra ammo.
We'll have to see how big a factor the wind is the night of the shoot.
Either way, we'll still get in some good stages.
