Very succinct, Jeff.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

I think maybe a protest of Frank Jackson and his proposed laws for the city of Cleveland should be in order. Why protest a gun buyback? What is to be achieved by protesting the buyback?

I see what you're saying. I personally love the buyback. Stupid as it is to achieve it's intended goal I find it a great opportunity to find some collectibles.

Last year the gun buyers for the most part where left alone by the police.

All they told us was stay out of their safety zone so they could operate .we all respected that zone and in turn let us pretty much approach anyone and try and do a deal .

At this point flying under the radar and having a chance to pull a few quality guns out of the furnace ,...IMO is not very good.

Why?

All of six people have confirmed they're coming. If anything the lack of publicity from Cleveland advertising this no earlier than this Tuesday is going to reduce the number of people coming with guns to turn in.

How many people "got past" buyers either because you were busy or they didn't realize you were buying?

Contrary to a popular belief when I brag about OFCC accomplishments I'm not looking for your thank you or personal recognition. I'd much prefer you send me an email telling me when you are going to get involved in doing what I've been doing since 1999. We are only as effective as we make ourselves. We need the next generation of OFCC to step to the plate.

Is that you?

My concern is we as buyers may not be left alone this time.

The police can make it very hard to work a deal and interfere if they so choose .

I hope this is not the case but we will see on saturday.

OFCC isn't the only form of social media. Facebook is all a buzz. There will be more people down there than guns.

I'll probably have my 70-200 lens and a couple of video cameras going from my parked truck.

I just saw photos of the finished product of what we're doing this weekend and they're pretty darn awesome. :)

2921.45 Interfering with civil rights.
(A) No public servant, under color of his office, employment, or authority, shall knowingly deprive, or conspire or attempt to deprive any person of a constitutional or statutory right.

(B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of interfering with civil rights, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Would interference with your right to conduct lawful trade in public, when your trade is not otherwise prohibited by law, constitute a violation of this statute by the officer involved ? I don't know - but if I were going to be there, I'd be making multiple copies of this O.R.C. section to hand out to any CPD officer that tried to make my day difficult.
