Alright gang! This is THE week of the show!

Making that call out for any and all volunteers to help run the OFCC table at the Westland Mall Gun Show this Saturday or Sunday!

Free admission, and the food vendor makes a mean fried bologna sandwich with your choice of cheese!

Man I wish I could come up. Be advised that some of my time this weekend will be spent teaching one or two newbies to shoot safely, and hopefully at least half way good. Not doing something lame-o in place of helping out OFCC.

Thumbs-up for taking the time to teach new shooters!

How'd it go today, gang? I got two newbies some .22 long rifle trigger time, and had a great day of picnicking/socializing with friends old and new. Even gave out two or three OFCC brochures.

Slow day Brian, small crowd, not hardly any action
So many people just asked dumb questions like "where's the bathroom?" that I made a sign that said "Answers for a dollar" just to spark conversation
Tomorrow I'm going to put "first question free" in parentheses on the same sign.

Be nice if you could make the trip tomorrow, but to be honest, you shouldn't bother,
Got any good shows down there in Cincy this Summer?

I'm at work today so you guys will have to do without me there at the beautiful Westland Mall. Far as shows around Cincy go we have Goodman at the Sharonviille convention center about once a month. If memory serves the promoter isn't friendly about giving tables to advocacy groups like ours, correct? Only other thing is the Saturdays-only weekly show held at one end of Treasure Aisles flea market up at the I-75 Monroe exit. But it's pretty dead most weeks to be honest. Perhaps if the promoter is willing to provide a table without charge it would be better (for OFCC) than staying home and doing nothing.

Actually the Goodman show promoter is friendly to us, and has no problem providing a table for us, when we have a crew to work it, and they have space. One of the big reasons we haven't been to Sharonville in a while, is because the are usually sold out for the year when they post their schedule. I think there were two weekends this year that were not sold out, and I didn't have anyone willing to take the lead so I couldn't try and schedule them.
