I can't speak for other hand guns, but I had two that were loaded. No, the long guns weren't loaded, per coordinator's request. some sort of safety issue with long guns. Long guns were used to carry flags... I think I was the only one from OFCC.

I guess the point is that a group of citizens brought some positive press to the fight to defend the Second Amendment.

Maybe next year you and Ring could class up the event by gracing it with your presence, and some appropriately expensive holsters.

Well I was there, and my handgun was loaded.

The long guns were not loaded at the request of the coordinators.

Some of our anti- Oc'ers keep saying baby steps, and appropriate timing..

So I guess unloaded rifles are baby steps at the moment.

No, the "anti- Oc'ers" say don't open carry at all. Those who keep saying "baby steps" are pretty much the same guys who got us concealed carry in the first place (and many of them open carry when they think the situation suits...).

And one tactic they used to get us CC, was mass OC :-).

Absolutely! As I pointed out: "many of them open carry when they think the situation suits..."

You your right Tunnel and Willbird.

Doesn't matter who thinks what,

Saturday, alot of people , maybe some for the first time, saw law abiding citizens carrying both sidearms and longarms down Main St. USA, and not a single shot was fired.

Now if those pesky Brit's try to show up again... JK

Thirty some peoples exerised their rights, and alot of people were exposed to their rights being protected.

Great day all the way around.. OOORAH...!!!

Just my two cents worth here: If this Open Carry March were my event, I'd insist that all long guns be carried slung vertically by the owners, preferably muzzles straight up/down or close to it as possible. In that manner, I'd have no qualms about them being carried loaded. That would more or less (to the range safety officer's part of my brain) "level the playing field" with the loaded, holstered handguns we carry around all day everyday.

Again just my opinion.
