How does one become Un-CHL'ed

With the recent ruling regarding Bruce, I am beginning to wonder if I am better off to give my CHL back and just carry open??

Why not keep your CHL and still carry open? You can then carry (openly of course) in your vehicle.

Todd, That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! Toby would sure be loving you right about now. I know you're just being ficious (I hope)! I think if you did that, Bruce would come and whip your butt!

I am not at all sure what the fuss is about. We knew, going into this, that the case would be resolved in favor of the city. Can you say Municipal Judge? (I knew you could)... That means he works for the city. The judge is a local politician who would probably like to be mayor one day. He's not going to win local office by overturning local ordinances. Besides, even if the local court had found in our favor, it wouldn't have made any difference to anyone except the folks in Toledo.

Now that the case has been resolved in local court in favor of the local ordinance, it can be appealed to a state court (and the AG can file a brief if he so chooses...). It is at the state level that we want to win our suit. Should a state court determine that the city of Toledo has overstepped its bounds, that would set a precedent for every home rule city in the whole state.... and that's what we wanted all along.

Tom is correct in the fact this TAFT appointed JUDGE may have really provided us a real favor, especially if we get a favorable ruling at a district court. If not, then on to the surpreme court.

You go girl!!

Seriously...I understand Todd's frustration.

Todd, if it's any comfort to you there's no reason to give up your CHL if you go back to the 'old days' of open carry..... :D :D All the 'old rules' prolly still apply though.
