A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader. Samuel Adams

Ok, so now I'm confused... Everyone is wishing Dan good luck (and so am I) but public records is showing the case as "No Contest"...?
Dan, are you going Nolo on this, or is that a mistake in the records? If you were planning on fighting this then you need to have your attorney check it out.

I just looked on Oregon, OH's court documents and I didn't see anything about an "NC", "No Contest", or "Nolo Contendere" plea. In fact, the "original plea" box for both charges was blank. Kind of makes sense since he isn't scheduled to be arraigned (where he would respond to the formal charges with a plea) for another 45 minutes...

I saw the same when i looked at the docket. Here's a thought...did they mistreat Dan because of prior run ins with the police department there? Maybe Dan should tack on a counter suit for harassment.....Morne wrote:I just looked on Oregon, OH's court documents and I didn't see anything about an "NC", "No Contest", or "Nolo Contendere" plea. Scruit, Morne, PAJOHNOHIO: Geez, don't go looking at those court records too closely; if it was a chargeable offense to make mistakes on those things, there wouldn't be anybody left working in the legal system, from what I've witnessed.
Fortunately I know this from observation as opposed to being in the system a buncha times myself or anything..

Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

or maybe put a chain around it and put it on the rear view mirror after you (cough) have it lead filled. You know like those handcuff on the rear view mirror thing. If justice is served, Dan can frame the two Bersas and wear two Glocks instead
Good luck.[/quote]
