Franklin Co. turn around...

Post by arracos »

Well I'm one of the newest "sheepdog"s. Been lurking a LONG while and finally stepped up. Anywho...

Applied in Franklink Co. last Wed (5/17/06) and was called Mon (5/22/06). Turn around of merely 3 business days. They don't let grass grow under their feet since I was called the day I dropped off the application to double check on my current address. The Sheriff's office apparently isn't aware that Columbus has grown into Delaware Co. :?

Got to carry in public last night for the first time and apparently didn't cause a stir. :D

Catch ya all around.

Wow, very nice!

I'm seeing a lot of reports of 3 days, on ccwhen.com (Don't forget to submit your time as well! :) ). What I don't get, is everyone I know, that lives in franklin, doesen't want to apply for their CHL there.

Everyone seems to think Franklin is horridly slow..... and unfriendly..... IDK why....

Heck, I went to the Delaware County Sheriff, and they took 2 weeks (in feb of this year)....

Either way, Congrats, and welcome! :)
Where's the best place to apply for your CHL?

Guess I should have applied in Franklin. I live in Franklin, but chose Delaware because of better appointment availability. I have been waiting 24 days now. Go figure!

Franklin was the easy choice... not because of anything I've heard from others. Mainly because I'm working at a client in downtown Columbus and the Sheriff's office is only about a 5 minute drive from where I'm at. :D

I had a great experience with Delaware, and a decent one in Franklin.

Obtaining my temporary emergency license in Franklin county took 3 days, but it took 7 days to schedule an appointment - so 10 days. In Delaware, when getting my actual license, I told them my temp was quickly coming up on expiration and they got me the license in 2 days flat. I thought that was pretty impressive.
