Happy birthday Pops Fun!

Post by Brian D. »

Hope it's way better than my current two week stint "auditioning" to be a juror downtown.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

When I was called a few years ago, I was sent to a jury pool on the second day. On the third day, I was kicked out of the pool because I was a lawyer. On the fourth day, they told me I didn't have to come back again unless they called me. They didn't.

If there's a next time, bring a stout cane. The security folks may not like those but don't want to mess around with ADA accusations either. Found out that reaching 75 years old is an automatic excusal, but that's a ways off for me.

I took a stout cane last time, but I still had my courthouse pass. Now, it's expired, but I'm overage and don't want to go downtown anymore.

We gave our verdict and got out of the courthouse Thursday, about noon. That just happened to be Reds Opening Day. What a mess! The courthouse shouldn't be running that day!
