Shotshell primer storage

Post by weakhand luke »

A friend recently gave me a flat of his deceased father's 12ga reloads. Most of the boxes in the flat are labeled with load data that exceeds any published data I can find (he shot a lot of handicap trap and protectors) I decided to just break down the shells and salvage the shot, wads, primers and powder. This project is going well so far but I'm wondering how to safely store the primers. Throwing them together in a jar seems to be risking a small yield fission event. I'll have 250 loose primers when I'm done.

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

A padded container maybe?
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Thought about that. Small container of some sort padded with tissue paper.

They'll be gone in a hurry anyway if/when spring arrives to NEO.

Thanks,
