Someone from the link is confirmed by planning notes of someone a few years ago who was planning a mass shooting at an elementary school, but was stopped before he carried it out, because someone reported him. That guy said in his planning that he originally wanted to shoot up a HS, but decided against it because it had armed security, and the elementary school didn't. Yes he literally said that in writing. That should've been shouted from the rooftops by the MSM but it wasn't.docachna wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 5:05 pmHonestly, not too sure, but here's an interesting article I stumbled across about private school security in TN.

If they think uniformed armed guards will offend the little ones, maybe they could have plainclothes armed staff instead.Private or not, shootings are more common at middle and high schools than at elementary schools like Covenant, which are less likely to have assigned security officers. Educators also are wary of unsettling young learners with more heavy-handed security measures.
If school administration thinks that armed police in the building is terrifying somehow, the very notion of plainclothes armed staff would (and has been shown by their responses many times through the years) gives them emotional vapor lock.
As someone who has experience working school security back in the day at a couple of different schools, I guess I can understand a little. It wasn't the most boring security job I had but it was right up there. Back then you didn't hear of mass school shootings, so that's not why I was there. (although if one occurred I could've tried to stop it.) My primary duties were to observe the parking lot and if a student left the school early I was to ask for their pass, and if they didn't have one to escort them to the principals office. Also if I saw anyone attempting to break into or vandalize any cars I should try to stop them. I wasn't even supposed to go into the school unless I had a reason to or was called in.Brian D. wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 7:06 pmIf school administration thinks that armed police in the building is terrifying somehow, the very notion of plainclothes armed staff would (and has been shown by their responses many times through the years) gives them emotional vapor lock.
Today I was talking to the owner of the indoor range that I use, about this topic. His wife is employed by an elementary school and is definitely pro firearm. Sometimes he visits, and any time he sees the school resource officer, (local PD) the guy is pretty much glazed over looking at his cell phone or the desktop PC at his work station. Although the SRO does get up from there and "makes rounds" of the facility with the phone pocketed.
My friend the range owner isn't too impressed overall.
And none of them were named Ashli.Bearable wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 9:12 am Gun control activists storm Tennessee State Capitol

They should all be arrested, jailed and placed in solitary confinement for a year or two before trial. The charge, domestic terrorism, trespass and resisting arrest for starters. If any of those kids are under 18 then their parents should face the same charges.
Political prosecutions are the answer.
Do you have a link of a name of the local media source about the bolded? I'm trying to find it with a Google search but was unsuccessful, probably because google sometimes doesn't catch everything.docachna wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 2:09 pm Local media reports Covenant had a security officer (armed ? unarmed?), but reportedly he was on vacation at the time of the shooting.....
In the meantime, Gov. Lee wants to put armed guards in ALL schools.
Oh, the children.....

Well, I can't pull it up, either, but I stumbled on THIS, which is VERY interesting...........https://www.insider.com/nashville-coven ... ing-2023-4M-Quigley wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 8:42 amDo you have a link of a name of the local media source about the bolded? Thanks for the link, but I had already seen that link at the time, and it wasn't really very helpful. First they start out with "several staff members" were packing, then later on it's "one or two" and farther down it'sdocachna wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 4:45 pmWell, I can't pull it up, either, but I stumbled on THIS, which is VERY interesting...........https://www.insider.com/nashville-coven ... ing-2023-4M-Quigley wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 8:42 amDo you have a link of a name of the local media source about the bolded? BTW - ditch Google and use DuckDuckGo. Do the same search on both, and you'll be amazed at what Duck pulls up that Google puts WAY down the list, if at all.
Which is essentially what every other news source parroted. So far I haven't found any reporting where it confirms any of the staff present that day were armed. I can't understand why the LE and local politicians have not released this information after this long, or if they have why is it so hard to find. It's unclear if the staff members in question were present at the school during the incident or what the campus's policies are around carrying weapons.
