^ I'm very glad you brought that episode here to this thread. Good call!Beaston330 wrote:Stumbled upon this recent article regarding bra type holsters.

From the article:
This is - most likely (we currently don't know, as I have not yet seen any pictures of the holster that this particular person had been using at the time of her demise - not a case of the holster failing.Clapp said Bond was “having trouble adjusting her bra holster, couldn’t get it to fit the way she wanted it to. She was looking down at it and accidentally discharged the weapon.”
From the way that statement reads, this is operator error, pure and simple.
As I mentioned in this thread:

I found it interesting that reputable "bra holsters" specifically do NOT point the muzzle at the user's head.
From the muzzle orientation of reputable "bra holsters," I'd well wager that for those of us who absolutely cannot get over Rule 2 even when the gun is holstered that this method of carry endangers less vital body parts than appendix/inguinal carry.
From the report, this woman was actually peering down the muzzle of her weapon when the negligent discharge occurred. I propose that there's something more wrong here than how that woman chose to carry her defensive firearm.

The holster is fine. However, Rules 1, 2, and 3 were seriously bent.
Don't do this.
It is a sad day.

Re: Bra Holster: Thought?
The reason I'm resurrecting this old thread is to relay some information I recently discovered. According to a contact person at the company, the Flash Bang holster products were not the holster that was involved in the accidental shooting. The contact person did not know any other details than that. It seems like a case of the news media using a representative picture of their product just like they use stock photos of certain guns, whether that particular product was actually used or not. I know someone who wants to start carrying their P32 all the time, instead of occasionally carrying in a purse.TSiWRX wrote:^ I'm very glad you brought that episode here to this thread. It's not quite the same location but CanCan concealment makes a nice belly strap holster.
