BASS at Stonewall comes to an end

Post by 3 gun »

Just a quick message about the end of BASS. It was a good run (over 15yrs) but everything ends. Just a public notice in case you weren't on the email list. Thanks for helping make it a success. Be safe n have fun

BASS is a shooting league that held matches at Stonewall. Been mentioned in this section of the board for years, Carmen.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Was just there a month or two ago, but didn't see any email about this. Too bad, it was a fun shoot.

Was this a decision by the people who run BASS, or by Stonewall?

As far as I know BASS was basically a casualty of the hours change from a 9pm to 7pm closing time. The loss of over 1/2 of the range time availability severely limited set-ups and the number of shooters that could run the course. Other factors may have played a role but I'm not aware of them

Never a good sign to see a shooting event/club come to a end. Hopefully a Millennial will pick up the charge.
