The forums have been hosted for some time now out of my pocket. We are coming up on the annual domain renewal for ohioccwforums.org and I pay roughly $20/month to keep the forums online. I do this to maintain the long-standing history of discussions here indexed in Google, and so that people have a place to discuss this topic outside of modern social media censorship. Guess I'll throw my load into the mix. It's slightly over the published max load but my 1911's seem to like it with no signs of over pressure.
5.4 grains of 231 under a 230gr FMJ bullet. Chrony's around 760 FPS.
This is not loading advice.

People say firearm owners are compensating for something.
I am compensating for being smaller and weaker than most criminals.
I have been running mostly Bullseye powder puff loads.
200 grain blue bullet SWC at around 3.8 grains. I need to bump it up a bit I think. My Glock 41 and 1911 doesn't always run well with them.
Also I think I need a stronger crimp.
I have also used 6 grains of BE-86 as a major power factor load with good results.
I had some 185 grain SWC and played around with loading them at 20 to 30 percent below max BE-86 of and they ran fine.
Was still pretty brisk recoil in my G41.
