Misc. Home/SMB/Enterprise Networking Gear

Post by ArmedAviator »

One of my hobbies is learning how to use enterprise computer and networking tech. I spend about as much on this hobby as I do on guns and ammo (aka "too much"). I've recently updated some of my hardware for some new needs and have for sale quite a bit.
  • Linksys WRT54G wireless router - Free
    • Old school but solid as ever if you just need stable wireless at home
    • 1x 10/100 WAN port (modem uplink)
    • 4 10/100 LAN ports
    • 802.11a/b/g (2.4GHz) wireless
  • Linksys AC wireless router (unsure specific model) - Free
    • 1x gigabit WAN port (modem uplink)
    • 4x gigabit LAN ports
    • 802.11g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz) wireless
  • Motorola Surfboard 6141 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem - Free
    • 1x gigabit computer/router ethernet connection
  • Netgear GSM7328Sv2 Switch- $150
    • 2 available
    • Stackable, managed switches (SSH, serial, telnet, web-GUI)
    • Supports VLANs, L3 routing, QoS, LACP, etc.
    • 24x gigabit ethernet ports
    • 2x 10 gigabit SFP+ ports
    • 4x 1 gigabit SFP ports
    • Also have expansion modules available:
  • Netgear GS724TR switch - $50
    • 2 available
    • Web-GUI-only Smart managed switch
    • Supports VLANs, L3 routing, QoS, LACP, etc.
    • 24x gigabit ethernet ports
  • Netgear XSM7224S switch - $700
    • Stackable, managed switch (SSH, serial, telnet, Web-GUI)
    • Supports VLANs, L3 routing, QoS, LACP, etc.
    • 24x 1/10-Gigabit SFP+ ports
    • DAC and SFP/SFP+ vendor agnostic - I've used many different brands and all work no problem
  • Mellanox ConnectX-2 10 gigabit Ethernet NIC
    • 5x available with single 10 Gigabit SFP+ port (2 low-profile brackets, 3 high-profile brackets) - $15
    • 2x available with dual 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports (1 low-profile, 1 high-profile brackets) - $25
    • Requires PCI-Express 8x in your PC
    • Works with FreeBSD, Linux, and Windows Vista and up

Regarding the Netgear switches: I have been using them for about 2 years now, some even longer. They are all in great condition. They are geared for either advanced projects or a small-medium business. They are easy to configure via the web interface, and the fully managed switches have a good command line interface, not too foreign to anyone familiar with Cisco IOS or Brocade gear. I've been running fiber-optic and direct-attach-cable at 10 gigabit on these devices with no issues.
Good luck and stand fast, true Patriots.

Also, I should mention all prices are local pickup. I can drive some. PM me if you'd like to discuss shipping options.
Good luck and stand fast, true Patriots.
