So the committee has seven hearings on HB 142 and then doesn't vote it out of committee? What's up with that? Why bother having seven hearings and then not move the bill?

That's for the Heartbeat bill (but only the Senate is scheduled to be in session that day, so...). Look to December 19th for the veto override for HB 228:
