Hello -
I just completed my ccw/chl training last Saturday (11/17 - which I swear I read somewhere was something like "National Day for women carrying firearms" or something in that vein - I can't find it now in g@@gle's biased searches).
It was the first time I had fired a weapon in 30 years. It was an outdoor range and very cold that day, so I had the shivers with the first target, but still managed to qualify through. The second and third targets, where they were yelling at us, having is load our own magazine, moving around, following commands, etc. I did very well. I feel much more confident about handling a weapon now, but definitely want a lot more training. I want to feel comfortable having it on my body, that I can draw quickly and efficiently if that time ever game, that I could load under duress and I also want to learn about firearms themselves - what all those different calibers mean, all this new vocabulary, etc. Time, patience and training. Hope to learn a lot on these forums!

Hello, welcome. As I stated in your other thread, putting a general location in your profile info is a helpful thing around here.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!
