1 Red Dot in a box.
No monies for more dots.
Want to do some tinkering.
Soooooo, where should the red dot go? :
A) 16" AR-15
B) 10.5" AR-15 pistol
C) Back in the cabinet
I looked for a "Poll" function, but couldn't find one. I miss the days of choosing "pie" for an answer.

"The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world."
It's a 3 MOA. It was inexpensive, but it doesn't appear to be "cheap". It's a Primary Arms micro-dot. It may not be an Aimpoint or an EOTech, but it surely isn't an NC Star or UTG.
If it holds zero at 50 yds, I'll be satisfied. I've found no negative reviews anywhere online, so I've got that going for me.
So far, I'll take that as 2 votes for the pistol.

Minimal recommendations, but I went ahead and mounted it on the pistol.
I was doing okay hitting my 4" plate from 50 yds, good enough for a slow speed/high drag operator like myself.

Alright, I was going to vote on on the pistol as well. Primary Arms is a great quality producer and that should work quite well for you. How do you like the shockwave blade stabilizer? I have the Sig Stab brace on my 10.5" pistol and I don't care for the looks of it but it works well for a great cheek weld.
Great minds think alike, unfortunately so do stupid ones...

Yeah, those pesky BATF laws at their best.

The dot is nice. The different settings made sure there was a dot bright enough for today's sunshine. I haven't looked at the Sig Stab, but the Blade looks okay for being a chunk of plastic. It's pretty light and I've found that I like lightweight AR's. It gives a decent cheek weld, too. I did notice that the vertical edge at the back felt uncomfortable on the inside of my forearm, but a piece of 7/16" heater hose took care of that.
