The forums have been hosted for some time now out of my pocket. We are coming up on the annual domain renewal for ohioccwforums.org and I pay roughly $20/month to keep the forums online. I do this to maintain the long-standing history of discussions here indexed in Google, and so that people have a place to discuss this topic outside of modern social media censorship. If you enjoy the forums and you'd like to help offset the cost, please consider a venmo donation here

I mean, if your gun comes back as stolen and your receipt has no valid information in it, that would be...worrisome.
Of course, nobody in their right mind would accept a receipt with data on it that they did not validate by checking that person's driver license or CHL, right.
Oh, wait...what was that I said in an earlier post?
Well yeah I always make sure to verify their information against what they put down on the bill of sale.
It may be a "feel good piece of paper". But its my right if I want to buy something like a gun from someone to request one.. If they have a problem with signing one then they have the right not to sell... You'd be surprised at the deterrent factor it plays too.. Someone's not out to leave a paper trail if they think it can come back on them.
"Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home
Let me die in a pile of empty brass."
Amen
