Holster for S&W SD9VE

Post by Anthd »

Looking for recommendations for a good IWB holster. I like to wear it on my back hip and I prefer the hard plastic and I need good retention since I'm active at my job. Haven't found anything comfortable that I can wear all day.

I have the .40 version and use an Alien Gear 3.0. I don't print or show at all, it's great for me on the long family car trips. Drove 16 hrs from Ohio to Florida in January and I didn't feel it the next day.

I carry my SD40VE in my Raw Dog holster. but if you want a solid kydex IWB holster, check out the Clinger Atom or Stingray. I have the Atom to carry the Ruger LC9S, and it's very comfortable.

Thank you. I decided on the Alien gear however I placed my order almost 2 weeks ago. They said orders ship in 3-5 business days, but I haven't even gotten my shipping confirmation yet. Has anyone else experienced such slow delivery with this company?

Mine was bought a family member as a Christmas gift. I know for a fact they bump up LEOs and Military w/credentials, however mine took about a month to get to my relative.

Take a look at Clinger holsters. Great prices, just got my second one last week.
