Yes that is exactly what I'm getting at. Suppressors are becoming much much more main stream and with more major manufactures starting to get into the game it may help alleviate any fear that people have of "silencers" and help the cause of getting them removed from the nfa. At least that would be my hope anyways.

I hit the 300yd range last weekend to do some shooting with my new Suppressor, work up some load data, and check for POI shift with the can. When I arrived there were 3 people on the firing line already. 2 of them had suppressors on their rifles as well. The guy without a suppressor was the odd man out.

Definitely becoming more main stream.
Did you have much of a POI shift?

Let my aim be true and my hand faster

Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home
Let me die in a pile of empty brass."

The wind was gusting like crazy that day, we had a storm the night before with 50-60 mph winds, it was still blowing pretty hard on Saturday, so any meaningful measurement wasn't going to happen. I wasn't going to let that stop me from putting some rounds down range though. The scope was zeroed without the suppressor @100 yds on a calm day, and I was having no trouble hitting 6" steel at 200 & 300 yds with the suppressor mounted. so if there is a POI shift it isn't very significant.
About the only useful work I accomplished that day was getting chronograph readings on the various .308 ammo I had. That means I'll just have to spend another day on the range to see how well the rifle is grouping and the POI shifts from the various ammo I have with and without the can.
The recoil reduction certainly is impressive, my Wife fired the .308 and was ringing the steel @200 yds every time. Without the suppressor I doubt she would have shot it more than once, if at all.

Wow.. I have never shot a suppressed firearm.. I didnt realize they helped with recoil that much.. Yeah I'd agree with hitting at that yardage with the winds we had last weekend, there probably isn't much of a POI change.
