Yes it works, I think I found out what the probelm was. The slide had a rough edge that was catching, I filed it down and polished it. After that I ran some dummy rounds through and it seemed to fix it. Have to do a test fire and will update.

Ok so test fire and same issue, after 2 boxes of ammo, a tank of gas from making multiple trips to the range and a lot of swearing I now know what the problem is. The spring in the slide release is either weak or broke. As the slide came back the slide release would pop up and catch the slide. I held the slide release down with my thumb (awkward BTW) and fired a full magazine without an issue. I ended up shooting 3 mags while doing this and it functioned flawlessly, its a $7 part and I ordered it today. This was about to be the most expensive duck decoy anchor if I didn't figure it out.

You never mentioned that the slide was locking back specifically, but it seemed you were describing FRTB or FTF.

Glad you found the problem.

I need to find the diagram I used for mine. That spring can be a pain to put back in.
The roll pin holds it down.
There should be a small hole under the roll pin that the spring goes into and then the roll pin is driven overtop of to hold it down. If they followed the CZ82 method then it was put in wrong. Two different springs. I had to buy a set of surgical clamps to do the job.
