Actually, since it has been assigned to a committee in the Senate now, and this very morning folks from our very own OFCC are gathering in Columbus to lobby our Senators, not only has there been significant movement I think there is a good chance of it getting passed.

Typically, our political process moves in fits and starts. Pols are trying to maximize gain, and minimize political risk. There are issues of party priorities and party discipline. Due to the problems created by term limits, pols are constantly seeking their next berth or their next paycheck.Without the efforts of the NRA, there would not be a paid lobbyist attending to our needs in the OGA.

Any progress on this yet? Someone told me this morning that it passed through the Senate but I'm not finding any info showing so.

Has been referred to Senate's Civil Justice Committee, no further action yet.

Things went well, I think we helped some of the staffers understand the bill and we will be dependent on them to pass the info along. Our group only met with one senator, however he is the chair of the Civil Justice committee so it was kind of important to meet with him.

Wasn't there a provision in the bill to allow the licenses of AD Military to be treated in the same way as driver's licenses? I see this as a good thing, but I see this ending very badly in another state or with an uninformed LEO.
