Day 2 at the Gun show!

Had a great day yesterday - MWSY, Chuck, Aesinsp, and myself manned the table throughout the show. Lots of good conversations with the show patrons that stopped by the table.

Looking forward to a great say at the show today! Come on out, join us, talk to us!

We are up to 3 smart people and 2 freaking idiots as I write this - you come tell us who is who!

Alright gang - I been slacking this week! I been meaning to get a report out about this past weekend's show in Columbus - but that crazy work thing has been... crazy!

We had a pretty good day on Saturday. The weather was decent, and there were quite a few people that made it out to the show. We were in the back (again), but this time between a guy with guns and parts and another guy with steel targets he makes. We got some decent traffic I think due to that. The overall crowd was decent - you had to wade through at points in Saturday.

Sunday is a different story. We had the doom and gloom forecasters calling for 4-10" (depending on which channel you watched) to hit early Sunday morning and mid-day. Besides the fact that Sunday's always start slow at these shows - the weather put a damper on the whole thing. Most of the day, I could look out and see the wares on most tables - there just were not that many people. We still had some traffic, and got to talk to some people - so it was not a bust.

One thing I noted for this past weekend - we got a little less of the "When is your next class?", and a little more of the "Hey, I have a question for you guys!". To me, that is a plus - it means that people realize what OFCC is doing in the Ohio 2A community. We got our message out, with Chuck's ever so popular intro of "We are fighting for your gun rights!", and continuing with talking about HB 203 and the Statehouse trip. Also, people are starting to recognize us and our table at these shows - which is another plus. The more we get our faces, message, and logo out there - the more people will realize what we are doing.

As always, a HUGE thank you to our volunteers that helped to make this show possible. Without the bodies behind the table, we would not be able to get the message out. (There were a couple of times on Saturday where there were so many people around the table that we just didn't have enough people to engage everyone!)
