That's a very reasonable tuition for such a well-known instructor! 8)

I honestly wish I could join you guys. Chris's four-hour "Shooting Enhancement Clinic" mini-seminars were where I made some of my largest leaps in marksmanship in the last two years. He's really got a way of teaching.

Alas, I've been ordered to keep to single-day classes due to the new puppy, and also that's a holiday weekend for my family (there's a set of Suarez classes that occurs the weekend prior that I also have to sit out due to the same two reasons  ).

I would encourage anyone who is on the fence to really think twice and get out there to Chris's classes. To the best of my knowledge, he hasn't had many open-enrollment civilian classes in the last couple of years. Get in on it while you still have the chance!

Are Blackhawk Serpa's allowed in class? It's just a question.

I did a three day class with Chris in July, he's a stand up fella with a great personality, once everyone understands the importance of safety. His helpers were outstanding as well. My OPOTA qualifying test was a perfect score and excellent grouping thanks to his helpful advice. (I had the best in the class though two students had slightly better groups, both had one flyer)

He did call my CZ 85 an antique, or close to it. Just because it didn't have any plastic in it, I guess.

I've heard some instructors don't allow them in their classes that's why I asked. I try and tell people that it's not the holster that pulls the trigger, but some of them just don't believe me.

With the "Shooting Enhancement Clinics," Chris did allow them, and specifically made his ND (ref: http://www.ohioccwforums.org/viewtopic. ... lit=cerino" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) a teaching point about understanding the holster and the draw stroke necessary to safely defeat the locking SERPA's retention device, as well as covered what absolutely should not be done with the holster when encountering a "bind" on the draw.

I'm not sure what his policy with the SERPA is, now.

In addition to being great instructors, Chris, KD and Michele have been very supportive of the FASTER teacher training program.
If you can swing it, get to one of their classes.
