One of the original posters suggested the AHometown Buffet on Soldano Blvd. on the west side (near Wilson and Broad).

I think a buffet is the way to go. Hometown, Golden Corral or something similar. Being near a freeway is a plus.

Put me down for 2 guests. This'll get me into shape for the Cleveland shindig the following weekend. Hope the weather cooperates.

Please post here if you have recommendations for venue, etc. We understand the date may not work for everyone, but there's no way to make it work for every single person, so we just picked one and ran with it.
If I might offer a tip, as someone who ran these things in the past: Same thing you said about the date is true about the location too: You won't please everybody, pick a place and go with it. Otherwise people will be chiming in with their two cents' worth of suggestions well into 2013.

I think some folks call that "paralysis by analysis". Not trying to be smart-alecky, just sharing my past experience.

With only a little over a week until the event it would be nice if we knew where it was. Otherwise I guess we all take a sack lunch and sit at Gun Envy and eat... :D

I was not making a complaint. Rather, I was making an inquiry.

Due to places being booked, we are having dinner catered at Gun Envy. We will be having City BBQ handle the catering. We need an accurate count on whos is or may be coming, posted in this thread, so that we can ensure everyone gets fed. If you know a member who is coming but has not posted here, please direct them to this thread.

The address is:

Gun Envy
4110 Indianola Ave
Columbus, OH 43214.

The store closes at 1800, and we need just a bit to set up, so we will call it 1830 for the MnG.

I plan on attending unless bad weather or something stupid happens. In such case, please bill me for my missed meal.

A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.
