Zanesville Range Holding Appleseed this w/e

Post by Mustang380gal »

There is an Appleseed shoot this weekend at Briar Rabbit in Zanesville. It was a late addition to the schedule, and didn't get much promotion.

But...

Here's your chance to have two days' shooting under the direction of Slim, the mohawk-sporting shoot boss. You will never hear history lessons better than Slim tells them.

This is a great shoot to take a new shooter--lots of one on one, with a very low student/instructor ratio.

Not to worry, Gaspode!

There's a shoot at Briar Rabbit in October, November and December!

Here's a list of shoots for the rest of the year in Ohio.

Please help spread the word, and bring friends!

The problem comes from being in Sandusky this weekend, a friends wedding in October and apparently I've been volunteered to shear someone's sheep toward the end of October... Work goes into over drive November until Feb. So maybe March. By then ill have enough practise to get my rifleman patch first go.

Usual stakes? Olive Garden gift card?

You do realize if I don't get that patch first go it means I came with an improper skill set and bad habits already taught to me, right?

Folks are always quick to blame the teacher, sometimes the student ignores the lesson being taught.

My boys want to go. Dad is on the fence, depending upon weather.

Ted and I have been to some cold Appleseed shoots. We did concede to staying in a hotel as opposed to camping. Ted earned a Winterseed patch.

I'm leaning toward hotel this time around, too.

Rather be chilly than sunburned. :D

Bump because Zanesville's Briar Rabbit is holding an Appleseed this weekend, Dec 15 and 16.

It shouldn't be too chilly.

I'm planning on being there. Slim is shoot boss; hearing history from Slim is worth the time to get there.

Hope to see you there!

13-14 pre-registered so far. Looks to be a great shoot. If I can swing it, I will be there also. It looks like 3 to 5, maybe more Instructors will probably be there. Lots of one-on-one time.
If anybody has any doubts about Appleseed, just show up! You will not regret it. There is still lots of room, even if you haven't pre-registered.
No rifle for an extra family member that wants to go? We probably got you covered on that as well. Let one of know to be sure we have one available.
Slim is one of the best, guaranteed.

Slim is an amazing shoot boss, and you will not be sorry if you attend. I wish we didn't have plans this weekend as I would love to come help with the instruction.
