Ohio shows 'em how to shoot a revolver

Look through this post from Gun Nuts Media and Caleb Giddings on this past weekend's IDPA Nationals. First place for stock service revolver (use speedloaders instead of moon clips) is Ohio's own Kirk Crego. I had the pleasure to be squaded with Kirk earlier this year at the April match at PCSI and want to congratulate him on his win.

One of things I really like about IDPA is that even the "big names" are treated the same. When I've shot with Kirk
at PCSI in Circleville and he pitches in the same as everyone else. If he isn't working as safety officer, he's right there pasting targets along with everyone else. It's also a joy watching him shoot. The fact that IDPA is based on some of the principles of concealed carry just makes it some fun trigger time while practicing with great people. Plus it doesn't hurt that you never know who you'll meet. Ever go to the golf course and get to fill in a foursome with Tiger Woods? Or a pickup basketball game and have LeBron there?

In the meantime, anyone thinks revolvers are out of date and have no place today, well, I dare you to see how well you do with a pistol against Kirk at a match! He came to Ashland Lake a few times last year and took overall first every time. I'm more a 1911 guy, but really tempted to bring the .38 down to PCSI for some of their last matches this year!

Kirk is awesome. I've had the pleasure of seeing him shoot a revolver, and it amazes me every time

Cool! And congrats to Mr. Crego, too, of-course!
