It's a covered range, and a very nice set up.

The instructor crew that I have met at Tusco is top notch.

Thanks MG380. Are you planning to come with any of your daughters? Dangerous D, Pink-E and I will be there along with several other Instructors. We'd love to have you join us if you can.

My 10 year old wants to come, so I am thinking we will be there Sunday. I'll bring my Garand. :D

I may have to work night shift Friday night, but if I don't, we will be there Saturday, too.

Sending a PM your way, kah.

Sorry you can't make it. Perhaps another shoot in the fall. Also, there is a Ladyseed coming up this fall if you know anyone that might be interested. MCheck the schedule and make a plan. It would be great to have you.

Mike (MeanStreaker) won't be at TUSCO due to other obligations. Next time I see him, I'll give him your regards.

This was the first Appleseed for my wife and I. What a great experience! The instruction and staff were top notch, as was the range. My wife has already registered for Ladyseed. For the next one I want to take an AR or my LR308. It was a treat to meet Mustang380gal as well.

Glock23 neglected to mention that he scored Rifleman, and his wife officially shot a 205!

It was a good weekend, indeed! There were shooters who literally brought their rifles new in box, and didn't know what a mag was, by the end of Sunday had scored near 200. Wow!

I'm planning on being there in September, too, with at least one daughter, and the camping gear.

Ok..... A couple of other things you BOTH forgot to mention:

1. Mrs. Glock23 (please correct me if you have a forum name) not only shot a 205 (which is a terrific score at a first time AS event) she WOULD HAVE shot a 214, if that other target hadn't gotten in her way! Now, that's just a technicality, and she'll be earning that patch at an upcoming event! Congrats to both of you. It was great working with you.

2. M380G stepped up and "took an Orange Hat" by becoming an Appleseed Instructor in Training. She did and awesome job working with students on your very first event, and we are fortunate to have a lady like yourself involved in our program. I'm looking forward to working with you again.

You're right. It was a tremendous weekend, spending time with like-minded Americans learning Rifle Marksmanship and American Heritage!

Take good care

Thank you Kenric (took me a minute to put the screen name together), your instruction was excellent. I wish we would have had time to stick around after, but we had to run and pick up our boys from their grandparents as we were already late.

If you get a chance, send me a message regarding why it takes to get involved in the program. I would love to help out in some way.

Ashley doesn't have an account on here but will be joining the Appleseed forum this evening. I joined today as GabeC. And she has already registered for the upcoming Ladyseed and is planning on coming home with a better score than me. Guess I will be buying dinner yet again. :D

Kenric, this is Mrs Glock23 ;) Aka, Ashley. :) I do not have a username on this forum, so I am using Gabe's account. Thanks for the encouragement! I was really down on myself as I cannot believe I shot the blank target next to mine Instead!! I felt all the hard work I put in was for nothing and I had nothing to show for it. But Gabe made me realize how well I did for never shooting a rifle before, even if my score did not count. That would not have been possible without you and all the training received from everyone during the weekend. I plan on getting my patch at Ladyseed and have already registered. Wish we could come in Sept, but we cannot find a sitter. Thank you for teaching us our heritage and how to pass it on! Look forward to future Appleseed events and doing them as a family one day! Gabe is already saving up for the dinner he will be owing me ;) Thanks again!

Ashley:

Great to hear from you - and really happy you're excited about your progress and attending a Ladyseed!

I could see in your eyes that you weren't pleased toward the end of the shoot as I handed you your 205 target. I didn't get a chance to get back to you to talk about the other one (3 stages on one target, 1 stage on the other :-< ). You've proven to yourself that you can do it, now just keep practicing and go for it at the Ladyseed!

When you get set up on the Appleseed Forum, give me a shout (KAH - not too original, but it works). Also, connect with "dangerous d" and "LindaFromAppleCreek" (not sure of the spacing).

Take care.
