Help OFCC at a Gun Show...

Post by Jake »

This thread has been edited to better explain what I'm looking for.
If some of the responses below this OP seem confusing, that is why. - Jake

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
OFCC has been working fervently to raise awareness and support for Ohioans gun rights.
The best way is by meeting people and engaging in conversations with them. We tackle this is by working at gun shows across the state.

At shows, we educate them as to what OFCC is and what we do. We also want to let people know what we have accomplished for law abiding gun owning Ohioans.

I'm still looking for folks who'd love to get involved with our organization, especially now with some of the current projects we're working on.

Working a gun show is a chance to reach the masses and explain what we at OFCC do.
You'll have an opportunity to speak to others who have many of the same passions as you pertaining to firearms and related issues.

We (OFCC) need your support to be able to help you.

Sheer numbers speak volumes.
By reaching out to others who are unaware of who we are and what we do, you can help make a difference on many levels.

Right now we're working hard on many things, particularly the Restaurant Carry Bill.
This is something that will definitely affect all of us.

If you are interested, I'm especially looking for motivated people who can be my "Show Leaders" in various parts of the state.
I'll set you up with the materials you'll need while at shows.
Ideally you'd be willing to work a whole day (Sat./Sun.) at the show. In the past, I've done two day shows, but it's not something I'd expect from you on a regular basis.

I'm also looking for "Show Helpers" who will be a support staff to the "Show Leaders".
You're role will be to assist with manning the table. You're day at the show would be as long as you're able to stay and help.

Working a show does have some perks. The obvious one is that you get into the show for free.
That means you can get first dibs on what the vendors are selling before the doors officially open at the start of the show.
The other perk is something I'd rather discuss with serious individuals only.

If you're are interested, please PM me and we can discuss it further.

Thanks!

I helped at Sylvania a few years ago and had a great time meeting many OFCC members. Berea's just a bit far for me to commit.

Are you sure about the dates? The schedule I see shows it in Akron on 9/26 & 27. Berea shows are scheduled for 8/22 & 23, and 10/24 & 25. I could help on 8/23. I work nights so I will be sleeping, or at least trying to sleep on the 22nd.

Jake,

I sent in my name when Daniel asked to get an idea of available people but have never heard anything. Till now.

Check this on Berea and Akron dates http://www.ohiogunshows.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Did you mean Akron for the dates you had listed ? I should be available for either/both dates if in Berea. Let me know.

Don't think I'll be able to help out with the August show in Berea but I can help out for either the Oct 24 or 25 dates.

Sorry but I won't be available in Sept for the Akron show, or in Oct for the Berea Show. The offer still stands for Aug in Berea if OFCC is planning on manning a table there.

I can't make Akron. Depending on the day and my work schedule I might be able to make Berea.
