Just as we did last time, there will be at least one stage that will require a higher than normal round count.
I suppose if we keep doing this, it will become the norm, huh? Please bring sufficient amount mags/ammo.

Also, I'm thinking we'll be doing another "Force on Force" stage. This will entail using an Airsoft pistol. If anyone gets shot with it, it'll be me (for now).
We, at some point (not this week) will be introducing a second Airsoft pistol. When that time comes, I'll prepare you in advance as you'll need to bring a protective cover (sweatshirt/jacket). I'll get an additional mask. I've found that if struck just right. the pellets can break skin. We want to reduce as much risk as possible to avert personal injury.

Weather forecast looks great, hope to see you Thursday!

So...I had a chance to shoot steel plates at an IDPA match this past Sunday.
I went with two regular shooters from our CC. Shoot.

The Steel stage looked very familiar.
It was just like one of our paper plate stages.

Dave H. commented how much bigger the steel plates were.
I told him, he should have felt like he was shooting at trash can lids compared to our 9" and 4" plates.

Initial weather forecast is cooler and windy for this Thursday's shoot.
I'm considering changing things up a little bit due to the wind.
This translates to suggesting that you bring a little extra ammo.

We'll have to see how big a factor the wind is the night of the shoot.
Either way, we'll still get in some good stages.

The weather in fact did clear up nicely.
In fact so nice that my concerns of wind were for naught.

We had a bowling pin shoot (duels), which we rarely ever do.
It's a great drill though to get people working under stress.

Also had the plate stage and one tactical stage in which I broke out a new "high tech." prop.

Didn't score the event this week but we'll get back to our regular ways at the next shoot (which is in Oct.).

I think we need a clay stage to make up for the (MY) horrible stage at LOTR! :-)

and bowling pins would be cool too :-)

Lets keep working on the paper plates first.

Clean up your plate(s) and we'll see about clays.

While it's pretty crappy out, it's not raining so...I plan to have the shoot tonight unless things really deteriorate.

I'm considering an air-soft stage.

Maybe a stage where you are shooting from a rubber raft at floating targets! I'm really starting to hate the rain!
