Good deal, man. See you Sunday...TRDFurgesson wrote:WideFive wrote:I'm in the same situation, with my work schedule and other commitments I needed to find a one day class.
After many recommendations from several forum members I signed up for the Aug 7th class w/ Commence Fire.
I'll be in that same class on the 7th. See ya there.

I highly recommend the crew from Commencefire.com. Keith Campbell is the lead instructor and is a SGT. with the Cleveland Police Department. I have taken several advanced courses with Commencefire and they are A-1 pros !!!!!!

Commence firearm's CCW class was outstanding. I'm looking forward to "shoot with the instructors" and the advanced handgun class.
Thanks, Bobby

^ Great! You'll *LOVE* both.
The SWI is really the best $40 I've ever spent at a range (thanks again to Atilla for that recommendation!). It's almost a guaranty that you'll leave shooting better than you did starting.
AH1 was a blast. It's actually the most steel as well as the most barricade shooting that I've ever done. Extremely fun and educational. I want to do it again, actually, as I've really never done that much barricade work before. \
You know, I'm not sure if you're required to attend their "Holster Techniques" class, prior to taking AH1 and/or their Advance SWI (SWI, but shooting from concealment, if you so choose), since you got your CCW/CHL-training from them....
That's something that you'll want to check into, if you don't have the $20 and 2 hours to spare - but if you do, I'd actually really highly recommend taking the time to attend their "Holster" course, for as with all their other classes, they really do give you some very good information. I'm a holster-fanatic, and had taken a couple of "beginner's level" pistolcraft courses already, by the time I went to their class, but I still learned a couple of new things that night.

+1 to that! Took the 12 hour CHL class yesterday. My Florida permit is good for 2 more years, but I just moved here and want to have an Ohio permit. No regrets about taking Commence Fire's course, Keith and his instructors are all very knowledgeable and professional. 12 hours is a long day, but they made it go by fast. Looking forward to going back for more training to improve my skills.TRDFurgesson wrote:Commence firearm's CCW class was outstanding.
